Such impressive knowledge and skill from someone only 18 years old. Good job getting to the details and the facts of equipment and technique, it’s fascinating. I am in awe of Rickard’s films, they are worth seeing multiple times. Thanks for doing this …. looking forward to more “finding the film maker” interviews. Well done!

I agree Amy. He seems smarter and more thoughtful than many professionals I’ve met twice his age. Very impressive.

Blied, I’d like to see some more footage of you actually attempting to find these filmmakers. Perhaps we can watch as you email or call these people, or even fly to their homes to ring their doorbells.

Amazing. That twixtor video is IMPRESSIVE. Definitely looks like it was shot at 2000fps. But he found a great workaround for Twixtor’s often crazy results! I love it.

Very interesting talk. It’s good to know that you need to keep the background as simple as possible to get a better outcome with Twixtor. He’s got a bright future that guy. A bright, Swedish future…
I love Dan’s idea about this becoming a series in your blog. Finding these filmmakers can be a really entertaining process, with a great informational conversation at the end of it.

I was so excited to show my son a budding film director and he already knew about it. Nice work Hope you go far!

I’m not quite sure it got this. He took a still frame, tracked the movement of the original shots and masked it so there is as little movement around the guy as possible?

Very cool indeed. My first encounter with Twixtor was when I shot “Can’t Tell Me Nothing” with Zach Galifianakis. There were some scenes with his tractor and smoke, and even though I can live with the twixtored slomo that I was able to cook up, I never loved the way that they rendered. I assumed it was because I was new to twixtor and because smoke has no edges to work with. But your smoke looks much better than mine. It has a fluid, watery quality.

certainly like your web site however you need to test the spelling on several of your
posts. A number of them are rife with spelling issues and I
in finding it very troublesome to inform the truth nevertheless I will certainly come back again.
